New tools for teachers!

Three powerful upgrades were just added to the Learning Center! Here’s what’s new:

1. Assessments of Basic Written English. Two tests of basic written English have been added to our growing suite of assessments. These tests join our College Reading Tests and our Vocabulary Placement Test to help you gauge students’ understanding of basic written English. Score reports included with these tests provide skill-specific data to guide individual and class instruction.   

2. Timed Assessments. Time controls have been added to our reading, vocabulary, and written English assessments. Print versions of these tests have always included suggested time limits to provide an accurate measure of students' skills. Now educators can set and customize test times in the Learning Center. Simply add an assessment to a class, and you'll have the option to choose our default time, your own custom time, or offer no time limits at all. The choice is yours. 

3. City Stories Supplements. The Instructor’s Manual and the Workbook for City Stories, our first text for adult basic literacy and ESL students, are available for immediate download. Featuring engaging content for adult learners, City Stories is a groundbreaking book for adult students learning how to read. Get details here.
