Welcome Back! Here's What's New
Welcome back, educators. We're excited to begin the academic year with you! Here's what new in the Learning Center this fall:
1. We added a new Activity icon—and automated notifications—to all classes. Accessed on your class page, the Activity icon links you instantly to important class data including: how many students signed in, the number of activities they've completed, the number of pages they've read, and the amount of time they spent working. In addition, you can set the Learning Center to email you daily or weekly activity reports. These tools make it easier than ever to monitor your classes!
2. We upgraded Total Access! Effective immediately, Total Access now includes Stepping Up, our new academic success program (see details below). In addition, as a bonus to middle and high school educators, Total Access also features a revised, all-digital version of our popular anti-bullying program, Bullying in Schools. These new offerings join the grammar, reading, vocabulary, and library content already part of Total Access. Comprehensive and flexible, Total Access remains the simplest and most cost-effective way to access Townsend Press digital content. More upgrades are in the works and will be included free with Total Access when they are released.
3. We added our acclaimed assessments to all Learning Center subscriptions. Any Learning Center subscription or license now comes with access to all Townsend Press digital assessments. This includes four forms of our College Reading Tests, two English/grammar tests, and our vocabulary placement test. Note: students without a subscription or license can still access our assessments for up to two weeks at no charge.
4. We launched Stepping Up. Ideal for aspiring and first-year college students, Stepping Up teaches essential but often overlooked learning strategies needed for college success: note-taking, time management, test-taking, study strategies, reading skills, and more. Concise and practical, Stepping Up provides engaging lessons and interactive assignments based on what students will encounter in their college courses. A print text and ebook for Stepping Up will be available this fall!
